As the lead architect of the 2018 National Defense Strategy and former deputy assistant secretary of defense for strategy and force deployment, Colby has unique insights into the strategic challenges facing the United States, and argues that U.S. strategy must be revised to deter the growing ambitions of the People’s Republic of China.

Stern Distinguished Fellow Kenneth Weinstein; Senior Fellow and lead architect of the 2017 National Security Strategy Nadia Schadlow; and Senior Fellow and Director for Chinese Strategy Michael Pillsbury.
